2008 Residential Air
Conditioning Cooling Rebates
Studies have shown that more than 75% of central air
conditioners are operating below their rated performance. This
causes wasted energy, decreases comfort and shortens the life of
air conditioning equipment. These problems can be addressed when
units are properly installed and maintained. As a result,
manufacturers have requested utilities adopt rebate guidelines
on quality installation practices.
Residential members of
Stearns Electric Association who purchase and install a
qualifying Energy Star® rated air conditioner from one of our
registered contractors may receive a rebate from
$30-$330.
Qualifying units must be purchased and installed by a registered
contractor between March 15, 2008 and December 31, 2008
