Cycled Central
Air Conditioning
Save
money and energy with Stearns Electric Association's Cycled
Central Air Conditioning program and cut your air conditioning
costs in half!

High
efficiency central air conditioners save you money over the life
of the system by using less electricity to cool your home. This
efficiency also reduces electrical demand for Stearns Electric
Association and is designed to control peak electrical demand
during hot weather.
A cycled air
conditioning program is your opportunity to take advantage of
the lower electric rate, or a credit in July, August and
September, while still keeping your home cool and comfortable.
By signing up for the cycled air conditioning program, your air
conditioner may be cycled on and off every 15 minutes when there
is a peak demand for energy. Whether your air conditioner is on
or off, your furnace fan will not be interrupted and should
circulate the cool air throughout your home.
