is involved in putting up a wind turbine?
Are you curious about the efficiency benefits of a ground source
heat pump?
Ever thought about a methane digester for your farm operation?
How about adding solar panels to your house?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions - or if
you would simply like to learn about renewable energy - you
won’t want to miss Stearns Electric Association’s Renewable
Energy Forum on April 30 at the Melrose High School Auditorium.
Speakers Include:
Community Renewable Projects,
Mark Rathbun, Great River Energy, will discuss Community Based
Energy Development (C-BED).
Heat Pump, Phil Osendorf,
Ellingson
Plumbing and Heating, will discuss the heating and cooling
benefits of installing an ground source heat pump.
Solar Energy, Kurt Koegel of
SolarSkies in Starbuck,
will talk about using solar energy for water heating.
Methane Digester, Jerry and
Linda Jennissen of Brooten, will describe their methane digester
in their dairy operation.
Wind Energy, Elmer Arceneau
will talk about his two small wind turbines and selling power
back to Stearns Electric Association.
Net Metering, Tim
Weir, Stearns Electric Association will explain the
Cooperative’s process for purchasing back power from members.
