What is Dual Fuel?
To qualify for Dual Fuel you have an electric heating system and
a second system such as natural gas, propane, or fuel oil. Your
second system is used to heat your home during a peak demand for
electricity.
On the coldest days of the year, when demand for electricity
peaks, a radio signal automatically switches your electric heat
over to your alternative heat source and returns it back when
the peak demand period is over. More
