Member Notice: City of Waite Park Franchise Fee

On October 1, 2018, the Waite Park City Council adopted a new electric franchise agreement for Stearns Electric Association. As part of the franchise agreement; the Council enacted a charge based on the Stearns Electric Member Rate Classes for all Stearns Electric Association accounts within the City Limits.

The new franchise agreement takes effect on January 1, 2019. Stearns Electric members residing in the City of Waite Park will see this franchise fee for January usage beginning with their February 2019 bill. The franchise fee rates are as follows: Residential – $4, Small Three Phase (<50kW) – $6.75, Small Commercial – $15, Irrigation and Commercial – $109, and Large Commercial $109.
