Nominations are Now Open in Districts 2, 3 and 6
Stearns Electric Association Directors are member-owners just like you, who understand and listen to the community. They represent you on the Co-op’s Board, while responsibly overseeing the business of the Co-op and determining its strategic direction.
The cooperative model depends on its members to provide leadership and guidance. Therefore, each year an election takes place in three of the Cooperative’s nine districts to elect a director. The election process ensures that every member has a voice in the operation of this organization and that any member in good standing may seek election for the Board of Directors.
Nominations are now open for the Board of Directors in districts 2, 3 and 6. If you live in these districts and are interested in becoming a nominee, please contact a member of the nominations committee (listed to the below) for a director nomination packet.
This packet includes general Cooperative information, director qualifications, a copy of the Stearns Electric bylaws and the application for candidacy. Applications must be returned to a member of the nominations committee by January 23, 2019.
Not sure if the role is right for you? Learn more about the qualifications and responsibilities of a director on page #.
If you have additional questions about the nominating process or becoming a director, please contact the Stearns Electric Association Election Coordinator during regular business hours at (800) 448-1737.
Stearns Electric retains the services of Survey and Ballot Systems to conduct the election in conjunction with the April 4, 2019 Annual Meeting.
