2. ONLINE:

You can report your outage quickly by logging into your SmartHub account online and click on "Report An Outage." If you're not already registered - do it today so you're prepared for your next power outage.

While we've made it super easy to report power outages online and from your smartphone or tablet, we know sometimes you just need to call. You can call our outage line anytime to report outages at (800) 962-0655 or (800) 448-1737. Save this number for easy access during a power outage! 

 

Tips For Reporting a Power Outage:

 

If some electrical items are working, you may have only blown a fuse or tripped a circuit breaker. If your power does not come back on after you have changed the fuses or reset the circuit breaker, take a moment to check if your neighbors' homes and nearby yard lights are also without power before calling us.

 

Turn off or disconnect any appliances you were using when the outage occurred. Leave one light on so you will know when the power has been restored.

 

Keep a flashlight and extra batteries handy at all times. If your electricity goes out, use the flashlight to check all rooms for lights or appliances that are working.

 

If the power does not come back on within a few minutes, or to report a safety hazard, please call us at (800) 962-0655 or (800) 448-1737. If you have created a Stearns Electric SmartHub account you can report an outage online or via your mobile device by logging into your SmartHub account and clicking on the Report an Outage link.

Our personnel will do everything possible to restore service quickly. Please help minimize calls to the emergency service number; call again only if your neighbors' power comes back on and your service has still not been restored.

 

If the outage is widespread, our telephone lines may be busy when you call. Please be patient, your call is important to us. In the event of substantial devastation, we will communicate the situation to the local media as soon as we can determine the situation.
