Powered By Purpose
January 21, 2026
At Stearns Electric, our work is about more than keeping the lights on. It’s about the people we serve, the communities we call home and the responsibility we carry as your locally owned electric cooperative. That commitment is what we call Powered by Purpose.
Powered by Purpose is the focus of our Cooperative in 2026. It reflects who we are and how we show up for our members every day. We are rooted in community, guided by the belief that local service matters. We are grounded in safety, because protecting our employees, members and the public is always our top priority. From answering the phone to climbing a pole in the middle of the night, our 24/7 outage response is driven by a responsibility to serve you reliably and with care.
Being Powered by Purpose also means putting members at the center of everything we do. We strive to provide a positive, respectful experience through every interaction. Whether you’re reporting an outage, asking a question or stopping by our office, we are here to serve you. At the same time, we’re committed to helping members use energy wisely through programs, tools and resources designed to support smarter energy use and lower monthly electric bills.
To us, Powered by Purpose means always looking for better ways to serve our members and communities. We work to execute practical improvements that strengthen reliability, efficiency and long-term value for our membership.
Throughout the year, we’ll highlight the people, programs and decisions that reflect our commitment to you, our members. Powered by Purpose is more than a message. It’s a responsibility we take seriously as we work to deliver reliable service, meaningful value and a strong future for your Cooperative.
