Ground source heat pump (GSHP)

Rebate amount is $150 per ton (10 ton max) for qualifying GSHPs.

air source heat pump (aSHP)

Member must enroll in Dual Fuel and Cycled AC programs.
Must be installed by a QI Certified Contractor.

Stearns Electric needs to inspect the completed system. Your contractor will submit the Quality Install form and EnergyWise agreement signed before the rebate is processed. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing.

ductless air source heat pump (DASHP)

$300 rebate for qualifying ENERGY-STAR® rated DASHP.

Smart thermostats an, on average, save members between 10-12 percent on heating and 15 percent on cooling costs.
$25 rebate for qualifying WiFi Thermostat.

ac tune up

$25 rebate when an AC contractor performs a Central Air Conditioning tune up.
AC tune up must be completed within Stearns Electric’s service territory before September 1, 2023.
All rebates will be issued as a credit on your electric bill.

Rebates are only available for equipment purchased on or after January 1, 2023. Equipment must be installed where electricity is supplied by Stearns Electric Association. To receive these rebates, fill out the online application completely (links above) OR print the appropriate application, fill it out and mail it to the address listed on the form. The receipt of the appliance purchase must also be included.
