Great River Energy

Great River Energy (GRE) generates electricity and manages more than 4,500 miles of transmission line for 28 distribution cooperatives in Minnesota, including Stearns Electric Association. Headquartered in Maple Grove, Minn., Great River Energy is the second largest electric utility in the state, based on generating capacity, and fifth largest generation and transmission cooperative in the United States in terms of assets. Western Area Power Administration 

The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) markets and delivers hydroelectric power and related services within a 15-state region of the central and western U.S. It is one of four power marketing administrations within the U.S. Department of Energy having the role to market and transmit electricity from multi-use water projects to retail power distribution companies and public authorities.
