ELECTRICAL WIRING SAFETY ASSESSMENT

When a service has been disconnected from Stearns Electric Association’s distribution for 12 months or more, Stearns Electric requires an assessment of the service’s wiring prior to reconnection.

Stearns Electric will perform this electrical wiring assessment as long as new electrical work has not been performed that requires a Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Inspection, such as new construction, remodeling, replacement or repair.

If a Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Inspection is NOT required, members can request a service reconnection by following the steps below:

To request an electrical wiring safety assessment:

• Complete the Electrical Wiring Safety Assessment Form

Submit your completed Electrical Wiring Safety Assessment Form and the $200.00 Assessment Fee to:
