LINE DESIGN STAKING ENGINEER

Full-time; bargaining unit position; non-exempt; benefit eligible

• Melrose reporting facility, with a Monday – Friday work week
• Wage range is $47.24 – 55.58 per hour per collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and retirement plans upon eligibility.

Core Tasks:

1. Meet with new and existing members to create accurate plans for new services and service alterations.
2. Work with staff and engineering teams to obtain easements and permits.
3. Gather and record applicable project information.
4. Understand and appropriately employ technologies available to perform job related tasks.
5. Maintain an understanding of National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and applicable Stearns Electric policies and procedures

Requirements: Must demonstrate strong social and communication skills, attention to detail, approachability, member-focused mindset, problem-solving ability and excellent organizational skills. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Preferred: Preferred qualifications include experience in one or more of the following areas: electrical work, design technology, surveying, geographic information systems (GIS), linework, easements, permitting, electrical codes, construction and civil engineering drawings.
