Residential ENERGY STAR® Appliance Rebates

REFRIGERATOR

  • $50 rebate for qualifying ENERGY STAR® refrigerators.
  • Rebate is only applicable to households that are replacing and recycling an old refrigerator.
  • Fill out a paper application.

FREEZER

  • $50 rebate for qualifying ENERGY STAR® freezers.
  • Rebate is only applicable to households that are replacing and recycling an old freezer.
  • Fill out a paper application.

DEHUMIDIFIER

CLOTHES DRYER

WASHING MACHINE

  • $25 rebate for qualifying, ENERGY STAR® washing machine.
  • Account must have an electric clothes dryer and electric water heater to qualify.
  • Online application only.

Dishwasher

  • $25 rebate for qualifying, ENERGY STAR® dishwasher.
  • Account must have an electric water heater to qualify.
  • Online application only.

 

LIMITED TIME PROMOTION

Ductless Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP)

From now through August 31, 2026, receive up to $1,000 in rebates when you purchase and install a ductless ASHP.

Must meet SEER 2 and HSPF2 Ratings. Please visit https://www.ahridirectory.org/ to learn if your ASHP meets the minimum requirements.

1 Ton or Less AND ≥ 14.3 SEER2 & ≥ 7.5 HSPF2: $450

Over 1 Ton AND CEE Tier 1 Listed: $650

Over 1 Ton; Metered Dual Fuel Load on Account; AND CEE Tier 1 Listed: $1,000

Rebate requests require a completed rebate form, invoice and AHRI certificate.

Rebates are only available for new ENERGY STAR® rated appliances purchased on or after January 1, 2026. The appliance must be installed where electricity is supplied by Stearns Electric Association. To receive these rebates, print the appropriate application, fill it out and mail it to the address listed on the form. The receipt of the appliance purchase must also be included.

Appliances will only receive a rebate if they are ENERGY STAR® rated. To verify ENERGY STAR® rating on your appliance visit www.energystar.gov.
