Storm Season, Tree Health and Community Service: Carr’s Tree Service

Storm season is officially here in Minnesota, which means by the time you are reading this, there is a fair chance a storm has already rolled through your area, left a few branches in places they do not belong, and reminded us all that Mother Nature does not always submit a work order ahead of time.

At Carr’s Tree Service, many local cooperatives know us through our utility line clearance work. That is a large part of who we are, and we are proud to help keep Minnesota’s power lines clear, safe and reliable. But we also want Stearns Electric members and communities to know that our team provides private residential and commercial tree care services as well.

With 25 International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists on staff, we are happy to come take a look at tree concerns beyond utility work. Whether it is storm damage, declining trees, hazardous limbs, pruning questions or general tree health, our team can help evaluate the situation and recommend practical next steps.

One thing many people may not know is that we love saving trees too. With emerald ash borer now in full swing across much of Minnesota, many ash trees still have a chance if they are healthy enough and treated in time. In southern Minnesota, however, it is becoming harder and harder to find untreated ash trees that are still viable candidates for preservation. The sooner those trees are evaluated, the better the options usually are.

With storm response needs increasing and plant health care becoming a larger part of our work, Carr’s Tree Service is also always looking for good people to join our team.
